Ice Grey Adult Tee 100% Combed Ring Spun Cotton Creator: Philip TsengSo, you think your boss is an ape. Get it, er, off your chest with this New Standard T-shirt design created by quirky illustrator Philip Tseng, who’s known for pop culture-inspired art that features animated animals, cartoons, and fast food. This particular primate—a black-and-white photo of one that is rocking spectacles, a striped yellow tie, and toting a stapler with its foot, naturally—is going to make you the coolest guy at the water cooler. Just keep this article of clothing tucked under your suit jacket, or your supervisor is going to know you’re up to some monkey business…literally.

As a kid, I was into arts and crafts. I watched a lot of cartoons and drew comics. It was just something I did for fun. Then I went to college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology. While working as a research goon, I realized my heart wasn't into it and I spent more time doodling on Scranton than working. So I went back to school for graphic design and digital arts... And here I am.
Inspiration: Everything. As cliché as it sounds, it's true. A little dust bunny floating across my dirty floor, or some random comment my friend makes can trigger the little light bulb in my head. Other artists also inspire me – like, wow! how'd they do that?!
My typical design process involves a lot of sitting around and daydreaming. I don't really do sketches or rough out what I'm going to do (this is usually frowned upon by art instructors). I'm usually lazy and I like to see where my imagination takes me.
