Macau Street isn’t just a famous restaurant in Monterey Park. It’s an actual street in Hong Kong, and also the subject of Herman Lee’s (a.k.a. Freshfauxx) T-shirt design for New Standard. The Canadian ex-pat moved to China a while back, where he shot this beautiful black-and-white photograph of Hong Kong’s iconic road. Printed on a black V-neck tee, the image is punctuated by a sole burst of color from a red poster on a building—representing the country’s official color. O, China?

I am a 23 year old graphic designer and a football/soccer fanatic who moved to Hong Kong from Toronto, Canada not too long ago. I’d consider myself a pretty easy-going guy and would have a drink with anyone who enjoys random chats on anything from UFOs to the proper timing and technique of cooking a ramen.

What inspires your work? TVs, movies, books, magazines, daily events, strangers, etc.

I don’t have a signature style that I fit into since I would dab into different types work such as from illustration to typography from time to time. If I had to pick a word for my works, I would describe my style as experimental.
