Rapper Lil Wayne made “This Is Why I’m Hot” household lyrics, but graphic designer Concrete Rocket is singing a different tune. For his third T-shirt design for New Standard Clothing, the Singaporean artist took a detour from his usual sources of inspiration—nature and animals—to face the music. On this unembellished, black-and-white junior tee, a record player arm spins a 12-inch vinyl entitled “This Is Why I Sing.” And you don’t even need to hear the rest of the song to know that it’s got nothing to do with dressing fly or hitting clubs.
